In commemoration of the new board, I call upon a favorite consoles of all time thread.

I myself would have to go with the N64. I was a hardcore Ninten fan as a kid, so all of my favorite series where being translated to 3-D. Some of my favorite games of all time are on there, too, from the obvious Zelda titles to the little cult classics like Glover.
I actually play this system more than all of my systems (excluding the SNES) combined.

This. My N64 is still hooked up...nothing can beat 4 player golden gun in the temple on Goldeneye.

I'm with Zippie: Super Nintendo. TONS of games, and the best incarnations of milk'd franchises. Plus lots of little gems that didn't get milked. Plus nostalgia. Plus graphics and sound - I adore them. Plus it was the last 2D system. After that, 2D became 'uncool'. Thanks for keepin 2D alive, Castlevania, and new age 2.5D weird stuff, and DS.
Plus D-pad-only control feels good.
I'm always on the fence with Game Boy Color/GBA, though. GBC/SNES fight for my top spot.
Unless it doesn't count, since it's a handheld.

Dreamcast is undeniably great, but it has too few games to warrant Favourite System status, for me.

My N64, SNES, Saturn, Dreamcast and GameCube are still hooked up?
Who would go unhooking them and leaving them untouched? That's cruel.

Love'd my Dreamcast when I had one.

The SNES would be a very close second for me. I do love the selection, the nostalgia, and the graphics, but I guess the 3-D age hit me too hard. I mean, from playing Link to the Past in 2-D with a d-pad to Ocarina of Time in 3-D with a joystick blew my mind. That doesn't mean I didn't like the SNES counterparts just as much, mind you. They're both really good systems.
