Mewtwo had, what... a few days of consciousness, overall, in his entire lifespan up until MSB?

I say what he achieved is pretty fucking impressive.

Mewtwo was fairly amazing, however, why did he try and catch pokemon, if no pokemon could defeat him? He should have been able to just destroy them all.
