Back in my day we had 8 bits on our Game Boys, and we knew the offset for every variable in every game we had!

The fact that there's no battle data associated with the "???" type means that your own game would lock up upon doing so. On top of that, creating a whole new item (there is no real ???-plate) and adding a pokemon-ability-activating attribute to it... Well I don't know if that's possible for somebody with even a good amount of experince in ROM hacking, let along someone who (as I must assume you are) wouldn't know a programming language if it hit them over the head with a void main.

The game would not lock up on ??? because it was built to solve a rare bug that could happen with Judgement. The pokemon is stable.

Clearly this thread ended a long while ago, and even though I've since then realized I was dead-wrong, I didn't thing it was worth bumping a thread for information that nobody really cares about.
