Porygon Z, further space travel, maybe even time travel? Like back to when R/B/Y took place? They said in G/S/C that if a Pokemon that didn't exist at that time was sent back,it would glitch up the entire PC system, maybe Porygon Z went back to that time, got out of the PC system before it went haywire, thus glitching the real world, causing random lvl 100+ Pokemon to appear in the water and if it were caught, the world would be warped.

porygon z is an unofficial upgrade to porygon 2. dubious disc? that's clearly the intention. someone else upgraded the pokemon, but didn't do it perfectly, so it has bugs and stuff.

Porygon Z was developed by a third party and was not authorized by Silph. That's why it's called the "Dubious disk".

Not only was it not tested as extensively but the developers didn't have Porygon's original source code. And overall they were likely less skilled.

So yeah, that's why Z is glitchy. It's basically an illegal hack.

I've had a fanfic (yeah, yeah, I know...) about this exact idea in planning for a while now. I doubt it'll ever get done/started, because I'm lazy as hell, but I've thought a lot about this concept too, is what I'm saying.

My idea was something along the lines of someone creating an unofficial upgrade of Porygon 2 that started to gain popularity among the hacker network. Someone eventually made the connection that since Pokemon essentially become data when they go into the PC, that if one could gain access somehow, Porygon Z could theoretically edit that data.

Anyway, yeah, it just ended up with someone modifying the pokerus virus to be even stronger, and it then spreads through PCs to other Pokemon and basically fucks everything up by making Pokemon more feral and instinctual.

It's full of holes and now that I read it, it's a pretty stupid idea, but I figured I'd share anyway.
