Hello, and welcome to 151chan's music board, /flute/. Please take the time to read the following rules and guidelines:


I. General Posting Rules
These rules are similar to the site-wide policies.

1. No Illegal Material - Self explanatory rule.

2. No Spaming - Unless you're dumping (see section III), try not to flood the board. As a reminder, you can delete your own posts.

3. Keep Thread Topic - If you're in a Hardcore Metal thread, do not post Techno music. You will get flamed. If you don't see a thread for your music, make a new one.

4. Respect - Don't bash a song just because it's outside of your tastes, simple as that. Also, "I hate (insert genre here)" posts will be b& on sight.


II. Advertising
1. It's perfectly acceptable to promote your music on this board as long as you include a brief description of the kind of music it is in your post. If you have a music file to go with it, that helps even more.

2. Posting links to illegal or malware-infested sites is obviously b&.


III. Dumping

1. Dumping is a large part of the /flute/ community, so feel free to supply an album or two if you've got the time, but notice that it may take longer than an image dump or something of that sort, so be prepared.

2. On that note, if you happen to abandon a dump, please delete the thread.

3. If possible, it's a great idea to upload the album your dumping to a file sharing site and post the link in our dump archive, located here: >>2373


IV. Requests

1. Requests are tolerated as long as you are polite and you don't overflow the board with request threads.

2. Please check through the pages of /flute/ before you make a request.

3. If you do happen to find a thread with a similar request, do not hesitate to post in it. We don't want the same request threads going on all the time.

4. If your request is being satisfied, be polite to the one who's posting the requested material. He/She is doing you a favor.
