These titles pretty much explain themselves if you've played the game, so I'll be creative...

Sting Chameleon's stage. Contains a heart tank (only obtainable after defeating Launch Octopus), and a hidden miniboss you can fight to get the armor parts (cuts damage taken in half), and the Chameleon Sting, effective against Storm Eagle.

Boomer Kuwanger's Stage. Contains a heart tank (only obtainable after defeating Boomer Kuwanger or defeating Chill Penguin and obtaining the buster parts) and the Boomerang Cutter, effective against Sting Chameleon.

Chill Penguin's stage. Contains a heart tank, the foot parts, and the Shotgun Ice, effective against Spark Mandrill.

Flame Mammoth's stage. Contains a heart tank (only obtainable after defeating Chill Penguin), a sub-tank (only obtainable after obtaining the foot parts), the buster parts (only obtainable after obtaining the head parts), and the Flame Wave, effective against Chill Penguin.

Armored Armadillo's stage. Contains a heart tank, a sub-tank, the Hadouken Fireball (only obtainable after obtaining all heart tanks, all sub-tanks, all weapons, and all upgrade parts), and the Rolling Shield, effective against Launch Octopus.

Spark Mandrill's stage. Contains a heart tank , a sub-tank (only obtainable after defeating Boomer Kuwanger), and the Electric Spark, effective against Armored Armadillo.

Sigma's stage- part 1. Contains Zero's buster parts (only obtainable before obtaining the buster parts).

Sigma's stage- part 4. Contains no items of note.
