Does /emu/ have a preferred emulator for DS games? I use No$GBA but there's always these black lines around things and I can't save.

I preffer iDeaS. You cant save through the menu for some reason (Save file is corrupt yadda yadda) but it does have Save States which work just as well.
Also, no$gba is good for dropping support for both Codebreaker and Action Replay codes for some reason if you use them. Dunno why, at least it happend to me a lot.

Do you only play RPGs?
I can't imagine playing something like Castlevania, or touch-screen heavy games, on an emulator. I've never even bothered emulating the DS. I can just R4 anything.

Not if you want to do anything after the Elite Four they don't.

I know No$, and probably iDeaS, can save pokemon games, you just have to go into the settings and change the save size or something like that.

No$gba 2.6a runs D/P/Pt on full speed (with nocash 3d rendering). I had no issues with save states either. I had to save trough menu, because No$snapshots or whatever is it called like didn't want to work.

Also, I played Castlevania Portrait of Ruin on it, and also had no problems with it. I didn't had much choice trough, it crashed all the time when I tried to play it on flashcard. Apparently it's a microSD card thing, some just doesn't work with it.

Have always used Nocash's products, it's too bad Martin Korth seems to be dead, in jail or gotten a life. But 2.6a works for pretty much everything but netplay, for me.

Change your GBA Mode to VGA(poppy bright) to make the colors clearer.

(Solar Sensor Level to Bright Sunlight if that doesn't work. I'm actually not sure which one does it.)
