files give a "not available" sometimes, don't know why, i assume it'll go away eventually. no idea if these work across regions of carts, etc. someone with the needed hardware try it out.

Just to be clear, while Jirachi's disk will work on its own, you will get absolutely no use out of a Celebi disk without also owning a Japanese copy of Colosseum and having snagged and purified every single shadow pokémon; no word on if you also need a Japanese GBA cart...

I'll download it and see if it just needs the save data, since I'm sure there's a working save online somewhere that I can dump into a memory card with NuGaSa. I'll report back on how it works once I've done it.

Lastly, I can tell that the Jirachi disk is the one that Cryo put up for me on IRC the other day, who got a hold of the Celebi disk? And why didn't they compress it better rather than split it into three parts?

And now having burned and run it, I can confirm that you need:
A) A memory card in with a save from an NTSC-J version of Colosseum. In this save you must have completed the storyline and snagged and purified each and every shadow pokémon.
B) A Japanese copy of Ruby or Sapphire to send the Celebi to.

I have neither of these, but I can possibly spoof the latter using a flashcard such as a 3in1 or similar. Still, without the first, the distribution will not even start, so I'm rather stuck for now.

it's still me. i just didn't feel like slapping my name on this. celebi disc just didn't want to compress further, i guess it's got more data, or more complex padding.

sucks about the savefile stuff. hopefully a save can be found / created if someone feels like playing it through in japanese...

Ah, okay.

But yeah, hopefully someone can have better luck that I at finding a save file, or perhaps could make their own if they're up to grinding a (J) version of the game. Of course then you also need a (J) GBA cart for the dump, but let's not get ahead of ourselves...

Holy shit this is amazing!

So what do I do? I just burn these discs on a 3" mini DVDr and then play them on a modified gamecube?

Did you paid ANY attention to the entire thread?
The problem is that even with the japanese bonus disc, you won't get squat without a completed save file from a japanese copy of Colosseum and a japanese copy of ruby or sapphire to transfer it to. Without both, the disc will never distribute Celebi.

The Jirachi disc, on the other hand, will simply spit out one of the little bastards to every game you care to plug into your console, although why you'd bother when there's already been a slew of other Jirachi distributions since then is beyond me.

Some day I'd actually like to have all event pokes, legit.
