Lokit wants a job, so she wrote up an essay so she can work at the Pacific Science Center, hopefully at the butterfly house or insect village.

Picture is unrelated and essay thing is the next post, followed by what they wanted me to write about.

My first and only time volunteering was working as a counselor in training for a day camp at the Science Center. What I did consisted of keeping kids on task and assuring that they had fun with the camp. It was the most fun I’ve ever had working, the counselors were nice and intelligent and while there was some drama with the children, they were enjoyable to be around, too. Since that week, I’ve wanted to work for the Science Center and volunteer in the Discovery Corps to start my career in science early and educate people on how the world around them operates. Working at a center dedicated to science can only serve to further my knowledge of the scientific world more than the classes at school can.
In science, my favourite subjects are entomology specializing in bees, and general behavioral biology. Ever since I was little, insects fascinated me with the constant change, diversity, and simplicity. They create perfect societies where everybody does their part to further the goals of others, regardless of personal reward. And despite my harsh normal allergies, I have never experienced an allergic reaction to the bristles of hairy caterpillars, nor stingers of bees or wasps even though I touch them frequently.
I am particularly good with handling insects due to my careful, gentle grasp. My skills also turn to first aid and medical knowledge, inherited from a mother that currently teaches nursing at the Bellevue College, and her books. Often I stand silently observing, however this serves to show me how to behave around different people and I choose situations to do this very carefully. When it comes to giving information, however, I am more than happy to energetically teach whoever will listen with language comfortable to them. An important fact to know about me would be that I can be very excitable, eager, and childish at times, which helps me when working with children.
I am hoping that Discovery Corps teaches me how to work consistently with constantly changing people and surroundings. In addition to that, I also wish to learn more about the scientific world, and what better place to learn science from than a science center? My skill of judgment I mentioned earlier will assist in making Discovery Corps a fun experience for all involved. And in the end, if it isn’t fun, then something is wrong.

4. List four skills, talents, or things which you are good at.
5. What is one thing we should know about you?
6. What do you hope to get out of the experience of Discovery Corps?

I'd like to offer you a moderator position for a website I administrate, contact me asap.

Just kidding, you'll do well :).

So profesh, man. If they don't hire you, they suck and you should send them flesh eating ants chewing on a sugar lathered explosive, so the flesh eating ants get embedded in their eyes and flesh, and are sent to hard-to-reach spots where they multiply and take over the facility. Then they eat radioactive stuff and become a hybrid alien/ant species and take over the city, then state, then the country, then the earth.

So hopefully they hire you.
